The National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has challenged House C​ommittee chairs to offer transformational leadership, and to develop a good grasp of their mandates and that of the Committees that they lead.  

While noting that it is normal for Committee members not to agree on all matters, he implored upon the Chairs to resolve any conflicts that might arise, and to embrace consensus when their respective committees are making recommendations to the House on any matter.

THE HANSARD ASSOCIATION OF KENYA CONFERENCE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Team Kenya got off to a flying start in Athletics at the 8th edition of the East Africa Community (EAC) Inter-parliamentary games at the Tanzania National Main Stadium in Dar es Salaam with Hon Dan Wanyama (Webuye West) and Hon Victor Munyaka (Machakos Town) powering their teams to victory.

As the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) Senior Challenge pitting National Soccer teams start in Nairobi, Kenya on December 3, 2017; all roads similarly lead to Dar es Salaam for the 8th EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games planned for 2nd to 11th December, 2017.

The Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, National Assembly Bills No. 39 of 2017

The Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, National Assembly Bills No. 39 of 2017 was read a First Time on Wednesday, 11th October, 2017 and committed to the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2017 for consideration pursuant to standing order 134 of the Senate Standing Orders.

The Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Justin Muturi, this afternoon met with the Parliamentary Delegation from the Islamic Parliament of Iran led by the chairman HE Ahmad Salek Kashani and MPs the Islamic Parliament of Iran who are Members of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture. The Islamic Republic of Iran Ambassador to Kenya HE (Dr) Hadi Farajvan and the Embassy's Counsellor for Culture Mr. Mahmoud Majlesain accompanied the delegation.
