The National Assembly Departmental Committee on Energy got submissions in regards to their ongoing inquiry into the escalating costs of electricity in the country from organizations dealing with electricity supply.

The three organizations; Electricity Consumers Society (ECS), Electricity Sector Association of Kenya (ESAK) and East Association for Radiation Protection (EARP) appeared before the Committee chaired by Hon. Vincent Musyoka (Mwala) and made a presentation on how they plan to reduce the cost of power in the country.

The National Assembly's Departmental Committee on Sports and Culture toured the Kenya National Library Services (KNLS) Maktaba Kuu Building. The delegation led by Hon. Mary Emaase (Teso South) went to assess the library's facilities and discuss the KNLS's request for additional funding for renovation.

The Kenya-China Parliamentary Friendship Group hosted the China Ambassador to Kenya His Excellency Zhou Pingjian and his delegation for a thanksgiving dinner in Nairobi. Led by Hon. (Dr) Rachel Nyamai (Kitui South) the Group assumed a role in cultivating robust interplay, trust, and a sense of unity between the Kenyan and Chinese delegations.

Kandara Residents Association are calling for  immediate action from Members of Parliament (MPs) to resolve a long-standing land dispute between the  Association and Del Monte Kenya Limited

  The Committee on Lands, chaired by Hon. Josh Nyamoko, MP, held a crucial meeting with the Kandara Residents Association, representing aggrieved individuals from Murang'a and Kiambu Counties.

 The Association claims to have endured historical land injustices allegedly committed by Del Monte Kenya Limited.

Officials of a Swiss firm which supplies excise stamps to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) appeared before the Public Investment Committee on Commercial Affairs and Energy to shed light on their contract with the KRA.

The contract mandated the firm, SICPA Security Solutions SA, to provide an Excisable Goods Management System (EGMS) that involved printing, supplying and delivering security revenue stamps to the KRA.
