Clerk of the Senate and Secretary to the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC), Mr. Jeremiah Nyegenye has challenged staff to be proactive in handling occupational hazards and risks to help minimize accidents, injuries, and other health related issues.
Mr. Nyegenye who was speaking during a special talk organized by the PSC Occupational Health and Safety Services (OSH) Committee said the a proactive approach would help staff think through, to imagine and to prepare appropriately to prevent such hazards from occuring.

The Departmental Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations Committee, chaired by Hon Nelson Koech (Belgut), will hold public hearings regardinf the conduct of British Army Training Unit in Kenya (BATUK) from in Laikipia and Samburu counties from Tuesday, May 28 to Thursday, May 30, 2024.
The inquiry follows allegations of corruption, fraud, discrimination, and abuse of power within BATUK,
mistreatment, torture, unlawful detention, killings or any other violations of the internationally recognised human rights standards.
