The new Members were sworn into office by Speaker of the National Assembly and Chairman of Commission, Rt. Hon. Sen. Moses Wetang’ula, EGH, MP, today, 10th November, 2022 in the presence of the Secretary to the Commission, Mr. J.M. Nyegenye, the leadership and some Members of the two Houses, and other parliamentary staffers.

The immediate former Director of Legislative and Procedural Services Mr. Samuel Njoroge is the new Clerk of the National Assembly. Mr. Njoroge becomes the 7th Clerk of the National Assembly as he takes over from Deputy Clerk, Ms. Serah Kioko who has been the Acting Clerk since August 2022.
The House approved a Special Motion seeking the appointment of Mr. Njoroge as the Clerk of the National Assembly through a vote. The Motion was moved by Eldas MP and Parliamentary Service Commissioner, the Hon. Adan Keynan and seconded by Ainabkoi MP, the Hon. Samuel Chepkonga.
The 42nd Session of ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly in Maputo, Mozambique came to a close yesterday with calls for the strengthening of maritime security and strict implementation of the rules of international maritime laws. Kenya delegation to Maputo was led by Deputy Speaker Hon. Gladys Boss.
