SPEAKER WETANG’ULA CALLS FOR NG-CDF FUND TO BE ENTRENCHED AS A DEVELOPMENT FUND INTO THE CONSTITUTION
Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has challenged Members of the National Assembly attending the post-election seminar in Mombasa to undertake the process of developing legal instruments to entrench the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) into the constitution to ring fence it against the sustained attack from the never ending litigations in courts.
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TO HOLD POST-ELECTION SEMINAR FOR MEMBERS
The National Assembly will starting tomorrow hold a four-day Post Election Seminar (PES) for Members in conjunction with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA). The event which as per practice within the Commonwealth fraternity takes place at the beginning of the term of every Parliament, will be officially opened by H.E. President Dr. William S. Ruto who is also expected to make a key note address. The seminar which will be held at the Pride-inn Paradise Beach Resort Convention Centre and Spa, will run from 30th January to 2nd February, 2023.
