SPEAKER KINGI WELCOMES ITALIAN PRESIDENT TO PARLIAMENT

Senate Speaker Amason Kingi has welcomed the visit to Kenya by Italy President Sergio Mattarella saying it was a sign of good diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Speaker Kingi received the president at Parliament Grounds on Tuesday when he came to pay respects to the Mouseleum of Jomo Kenyatta, Kenya's first president.

"The visit signifies thriving diplomatic relations between Italy and Kenya under President William Ruto," the Speaker said when he received the President.

Speaker Kingi was accompanied by Defence CS Aden Duale, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and Senators, Ali Roba (Mandera), Tabitha Mutinda (Nominated), Members of the National Assembly and other national leaders.
