The Senate Deputy Minority Leader and Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, has applauded the Kenya Women Senators Association (KEWOSA) for their dedication and visibility in executing their legislative duties.

Β

Speaking during the Senate Midterm Retreat in Naivasha, Nakuru County, Sen. Wambua acknowledged the efforts of nominated senators, particularly those under KEWOSA, in making their presence felt within the legislative process.

Β

β€œIn the third session, we have truly seen a lot of visibility by the nominated Senators led by KEWOSA. I want to urge you to continue pushing for the limit, nothing is given for free,” stated Sen. Wambua.

Β

He further commended the Senate for its collective achievements, remarking, β€œAs the Senate family, we have done well.”

Β

However, the lawmaker also highlighted challenges faced by the Senate emphasizing the need for open discussions to find lasting solutions. Among the key concerns he raised was financial constraints, which he noted had negatively impacted the operations of the Senate.

Β

Additionally, Sen. Wambua used the platform to call on his colleagues to stand together in condemning the rising cases of abductions in the country. He urged them to speak in one voice and demand action to address the worrying trend.

Β

His remarks underscored the need for both visibility and unity in tackling issues affecting the Senate and the country at large.
