The Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Budget chaired by Mandera County Senator Ali Roba today held a meeting with stakeholders to deliberate on the Budget Policy Statement, Medium Term Debt Management Strategy (MTDMS) and Medium Term Revenue Strategy (MTRS).

The committee received submissions from the Commission on Revenue Allocation led by the Commission Chair Mrs. Mary Chebukati and the Council of Governors led by the Council Chair and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.

CoG commended the Senate for its role in the implementation of Devolution appealing to the House to strongly defend and Devolution as required by the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Members present were Sen. Ali Roba (Chairperson), Tabitha Mutinda (Vice Chairperson), Sen. Dr. Boni Khalwale, Sen. Joyce Korir, Sen. Eddy Oketch, Sen. Shakila Abdalla and Sen. Richard Onyonka.
