Members of the National Assembly Agriculture and Livestock Committee Hon. Joyce Kamene and Hon. Fred Ouda together with their Counterparts from Uganda Hon. Janet Okori Moe and Hon. Catherine Lamwaka attended the grain industry trade fair in South Africa, an annual initiative organized by the Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC).

The Speaker of the Senate, Rt Hon Kenneth Lusaka today met the new Chinese Ambassador to Kenya, HE Amb Wu Peng who called on him at Parliament Buildings.

In welcoming Amb Peng, who officially began his tour of duty in April, Speaker Lusaka assured him of the Senate’s support in deepening Kenya-China relations.

NAKURU | 26 Apr, 2019 – The Speaker of the Senate, Rt Hon Kenneth Lusaka has lauded as “significant”, a consultative meeting between counterpart committees of the Senate and the Council of Governors (CoG).

The Centre for Parliamentary Studies has this morning hosted the 2nd Annual Parliamentary Symposium under the theme “The Role of the Legislature in the Fight against Corruption".

The inaugural African Parliamentary Researchers Conference brings together research officers serving in Parliaments in Africa at both the national and sub-national levels.  Invitation to the Conference is open to Researchers serving in National Parliaments and in State, Provincial or County Legislatures as well as other interested research institutions, local Universities and individual researchers. 

Pursuant to Section 25(8) of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012, and Standing Order 232(10), the National Assembly, by a resolution early this week, approved the Budget Policy Statement, and consequently the Medium-Term Debt Management Strategy for Financial Years 2019/2020- 2021/2022, albeit with amendments.
