PUBLIC PETITION COMMITTEE PROBES NHIF OVER EDU-AFYA MEDICAL SCHEME

The National Assembly's Committee on Public Petitions Chaired by Hon. Nimrod Mbai met the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) Ag. Chief Executive Officer Dr. Samson Muhora and National Parents Association (BPA) Chair Mr. David Obuhatsa to discuss the implementation of the Edu-Afya Medical Scheme for Public Secondary Schools. .

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION: COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE ENGAGES ESTONIA ON PROSPECTIVE PROJECTS

A section of members of the Departmental Committee on Communication, Information and Innovation took part in a consultative workshop geared towards Supporting Kenya’s Digital Transformation for Sustainable Economic Development.

The forum, organized by the Estonian Centre for International Development, through the Estonian Ambassador to Kenya, brought together stakeholders from the Kenyan Communication and Digital sectors including the Communications Authority of Kenya, to discuss potential areas of borrowing and collaboration from the highly successful Estonian systems.

The Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration Prof. Kithure Kindiki appeared before the Senate this Wednesday to answer to questions from Senators. The inaugural appearance of Cabinet Secretaries in the Senate started with questions from Samburu Senator Dr. Lelegwe Ltumbesi.

The Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Zachariah Njeru, has today committed to ensure that all public land in the country is secured through titling.

While responding to Questions from the Honorable Senators on the Floor of the House, CS Njeru informed the Senate that the Government has started issuing titles to all public learning institutions through the national titling program, adding that this has been prompted by the rampant grabbing of public land.
