The Senate Standing Committee on Trade, Industrialization and Tourism after paying a Courtesy call to the Office of the Governor Machakos County and the County Assembly earlier today proceeded to Kamulu Shopping Centre where the newly constructed office of the Drumvale Farmers Cooperative Society Limited is situated.

The Committee had a productive engagement with the second and third generation members of the Cooperative Society since most of the first generation members of the Sacco are long gone. Members of the Society asked the Committee to intervene to their properties that were taken over by the liquidator reverted back to the Society for proper subdivision and sharing as they have suffered for far too long.

Sen. Lenku Ole Kanar Seki the Chairperson of the Committee, Sen. Agnes Kavindu Muthama, Sen. Andrew Omtatah and Sen. Jackson Mandago assured the Drumvale Farmers Cooperative Society members that they will relentlessly follow up on this matter with the relevant authorities with a view to have it resolved at the earliest.
