PRIME CABINET SECRETARY SET TO APPEAR BEFORE THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

On Wednesday, 26th April 2023, the Prime Cabinet Secretary, Rt. Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, will be appearing before the National Assembly to answer questions regarding the steps being taken to reduce the cost of essential goods and fuel, and to address the decline of the Kenyan shilling against other currencies.

The announcement was made by Hon. Kimani Ichung'wah, the Leader of the Majority Party, during a statement on the floor of the National Assembly.

During the session, which will be held in accordance with Standing Order 42A (5) and (6), the Prime Cabinet Secretary will also address queries related to the provision and distribution of relief food in areas experiencing severe drought and famine, as raised by Hon. Yusuf Hassan, MP.

The appearance is expected to provide insight into the government's efforts to tackle the current economic difficulties facing the country.
