"Poverty has pushed Kilifi County residents to terrorism extremism, nuclear power plant in Kilifi will aggravate the problem. Ksh. 500 billion that is intended to putting up a nuclear power plant in Uyombo village, should be invested in making the lives of Kilifi County residents better." Senate Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Committee, under the leadership of Kirinyaga County Senator James Kamau Murango, MP, has kicked of its three day public participation to deliberate on the legislative proposal on the Sugar Bill, 2022, (National Assembly Bill No. 34).
