Day two of the darts competition at the EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games on Wednesday saw Kenyan MPs dominate the arena with accuracy and talentΒ  showcasing not just skill, but the unifying spirit of East African integration.

Hon. (Dr.) Jackson Kosgei (Nominated MP) spearheaded the charge, delivering a wonderful win against Hon. Alex Bahati of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) representing Rwanda. Dr. Kosgei clinched victory in straight sets winning 2-0 in a match that had fans on their feet with excitement. His consistent aim and calculated throws left his opponent scrambling to keep up.

Meanwhile, Hon. Janet Sitienei (Turbo MP) made quick work of her Ugandan counterpart showing tactical brilliance to claim a well-deserved victory. The spotlight also shone on Senator George Mbugua (Nominated Senator) who, despite a fearless effort, narrowly lost to Tanzanian MP Hon. Ali Yahya Muhata in a heated encounter that drew loud clapping from both sets of supporters.

True to the spirit of unity fostered by the games, all players, winners and losers embraced at the end of each match, exchanging friendly hugs, shaking hands amid smiles and laughter. This atmosphere of friendship underlines the essence of the EAC Games` theme, EAC @25: Celebrating Integration Through Inter-Parliamentary Games.

The darts tournament, proudly sponsored by Mchezo and Aga Khan Academy will continue this Thursday with players confident of clinching top honours. These sponsors have also supported other disciplines, including volleyball, netball, basketball, football, tug-of-war and athletics.
