The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) Committee chaired by Hon. Musa Sirma (Eldama Ravine) met with NGCDF Board representatives to deliberate on the Constituencies' Budget Ceiling for the Financial Year 2023/2024.
The NGCDF Board presented a detailed analysis of the proposed budget ceiling. During the deliberations, Members engaged in discussions to ensure a balance between various constituency needs and ensure an equitable distribution of resources.
Members were informed that Kshs. 53,531,500,000 was allocated to NGCDF by the Treasury. The Allocation to NG-CDF Board is Kshs.2,676,575,000 therefore Constituenciesβ shareable allocation is Kshs. 50,854,925,000. Seven constituencies are set to receive the highest allocation of Kshs. 201,666,082 while the lowest will receive Kshs. 157,825,629.
During his contribution during the meeting Hon. Sirma, emphasized the significance of prudent resource management and transparent allocation processes.
"Our primary focus is to enhance the well-being of citizens in all constituencies and foster sustainable development. Through this meeting, we aim to ensure that the budget ceiling is optimized to address the diverse needs of our communities and foster inclusive growth," said Hon. Sirma.
