The National Assembly has proceeded on short recess which runs from Friday, 7th July 2023 to Monday, 24th July 2023. The House will resume its sittings on Tuesday 25th July, 2023 at 2.30 p.m to continue with the second part of the Session.Β
The Leaders of Majority Party Hon. Kimani Ichung'wah (Kikuyu)Β urged Committees to utilize the short recess to expedite and finalizeΒ reports on Bills, Treaties, inquiries, and responses to Questions and Statements.Β
"These will be considered upon the House's resumption", he said.Β
Hon. Ichung'wah added that, βas we reflect on and appreciate what has been achieved, it is important to note that our mission is far from over. We still have a substantial number of Legislative Proposals, Bills, and other statutory instruments that require our keen attention.βΒ
TheΒ Leader of the Majority Party urgedΒ Members to rise to the occasion when these matters are presented before the House and to remain diligent in their consideration.
