The National Assembly's Departmental Committee on Sports and CultureΒ  conducted an inspection visit of the Jamhuri Sports Complex along Ngong road In Nairobi.

The team led byΒ  Hon. Mary Emaase (Teso South) inspected the facility as part of theΒ  Committee's mandate which includes inspecting and reporting on expenditures and implementation of sport'sΒ  projects funded by the Government. The facility is ready for use, however, the contractor has not handed it over as a result of pending bills.Β 

The state-of-the-art sports facility is a one-stop facility comprising three football pitches, an athletic track, a rugby field, a 1.7 kilometers running track, 3.4 kilometers murram track, a children's playground, a police station with four police residential houses, two designated picnic sites and three food courts,Β Β
