Marsabit County Senator Mohamed Chute has sought answers from the Senate Standing Committee on Roads, Transport and Housing regarding the status of construction of Bonkole Resort in Marsabit County.

In his request Sen. Chute wants the Committee to;

1. Provide an update on the status of construction of the Bonkole Resort, stating the commencement date of the project and reasons for the resort not being operational.

2. Outline the tendering process for the project, providing details of the contract awardee, the bid amount, initial price variation and actual price variation.

3. Clarify whether the County Government of Marsabit has deployed employees to the resort and, if so, state the number of employees, their designations, their respective salaries and the work they do in the resort.

4. Indicate measures put in place to fast-track the operationalization of the resort.
