The Speaker of the National Assembly, the Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Moses Wetang’ula today presented to President William Ruto, the Division of Revenue Bill 2023, (National Assembly Bill No. 9 of 2023) for assentment into law at State House, Nairobi.

Following the assenting of the Division of Revenue Bill 2023, (National Assembly Bill No. 9 of 2023)  into law by H.E President William Ruto,  the County Equitable Share has now increased by Sh15.4 Billion leading to Counties to receive Sh385.4 Billion in the 2023/2024 Financial Year as compared to the currents’ Sh370 Billion.

The Division of Revenue Bill, 2023, is meant to provide for the equitable Division of Revenue raised nationally between the National and County Governments for the Financial Year 2023/24 pursuant to Articles 203(2) and 218 of the Constitution.
