Today, the Senate Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs, and Human Rights, led by interim chair Raphael Chimera, was set to engage with the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) and the Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ). The meeting aimed to address the petition filed by Ms Christine Njoki Mweru concerning the unresolved abduction of her husband, Joshua Gichuki Mwangi. However, the session was hindered as both institutions sent secretariat representatives instead of their commissioners, who are crucial for discussing policy and governance issues.
