The National Assembly will resume its sittings today Tuesday 25^th July, 2023 at 2.30 p.m. This follows a short recess as per the House calendar.

Upon resumption, the following Bills are expected to be read for a First time; the Water (Amendment) Bill (2023), the Insurance (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 18 of 2023), and the Vocational Training Bill (Senate Bill No. 3 of 2022).

In addition, several Bills will be going through the Second Reading where Members engage in debate. These include; the Food and Feed Safety Control Coordination Bill (2023), and the National Rating Bill (2022).

Furthermore, the House will discuss the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill (2022) and the Conflict of Interest Bill (2023).

Debate on Bills which had began but were interrupted by the recess will continue. Among these Bills are the Penal Code (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 56 of 2022), the Public Service (Values and Principles) (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 46 of 2022), the National Construction Authority (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 59 of 2022), and the Public Service Internship Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 63 of 2022).

Additionally, the Chairperson of the Committee on Delegated Legislation is expected to table a report on the Consideration of the Value Added Tax (Electronic, Internet, and Digital MarketPlace Supply) Regulations (2023).

Also lined up for consideration are several Motions urging the Government’s intervention on different issues affecting Kenyans.
