President William Ruto has signed into law the Supplementary Appropriation Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 8 of 2025), paving the way for additional funding to education, health, security, infrastructure, and economic development.

The newly enacted law, sponsored by Deputy Speaker and Chairperson of the Liaison Committee, Hon. Gladys Boss was passed by the National Assembly on March 14, 2025, with amendments.

𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗠𝗣𝗦 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗘 𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟 𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗟  

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Moses Wetang’ula has announced the appointment of nine Members to the Mediation Committee tasked with resolving disagreements over the Senate amendments to the Gambling Control Bill (National Assembly Bill No.70 of 2023).  

This follows the House’s rejection of the Senate’s amendments on January 16th , 2025, prompting the mediation process as stipulated under Article 112 of the Constitution and Standing Order 149.

The National Assembly has passed the County Governments Additional Allocations Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 2 of 2025), paving the way for the transfer of billions in conditional and unconditional grants to county governments for the 2024/2025 financial year.
