Parliament of Kenya Netball Team captained by Vihiga County MP, Hon. Beatrice Adagala, has thrashed East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) team 46 - 31 in the ongoing 14th Edition of East Africa Community Inter-Parliamentary Games (EAC-IPG).

In a match held at Aga Khan Academy grounds in Mombasa on Thursday 12th December, 2024 at 10:00am, the women legislators battled it out at the court.

Team Kenya took an early lead with their EALA counterparts putting up a spirited fight to catch up.

Speaking after the match, Hon. Adagala praised her team saying they were well coordinated thus beating up their rivals who were equally good at the court.

β€œWe are happy to win this game between us and our EALA sisters and we look forward to similar results from the upcoming matches. Today we have played this match well and followed the rules no one was hurt,” Hon. Adagala said.

Even as she called on the Kenyan team to practice for the remaining games, Hon. Adagala stressed that the games are geared more towards strengthening integration between the EAC partners than in emerging the winners.

Hon. Irene Mayaka (nominated) said they have great defenders and shooters and they will do their best in the three remaining games against Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda as they aim to clinch the first position in the overall results.

Other games played on the fifth day of the games are: darts, volleyball men, golf and basketball women.
