Following the Committee's meeting held on 14th March 2023, the Senate Standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare, chaired by West Pokot Senator Julius Murgor, today met with the officials from the First Choice Recruitment and Consultancy Agency led by the Founder and Director Judy Jepchirchir concerning alleged fraudulent activities of the agency in Uasin Gishu County. 

The Petitioners in their petition had stated that the First Choice Recruitment and Consultancy Agency obtained money from estimated 500 youth to facilitate them with jobs and studies placement abroad before the start of the 2022 world cup. The agency failed to facilitate the placements leaving the youth and their families wallowing in abject poverty having committed all their monies to the agency hoping to secure education and employment chances.

After a lengthy engagement, the Committee resolved to carry out a fact finding visit in Eldoret where all the Petitioners will be invited and other stakeholders relevant to this Petition.
