BUNGE FC MAKES COURTESY CALL TO HARAMBEE STARS AHEAD OF CHAN; OFFER ENCOURAGEMENT, 1M KES TOKEN
Kenya’s Parliament Football Club (Bunge FC) led by team Captain Hon. (Dr.) Otiende Amolo today undertook a courtesy visit to the National Football Team (Harambee Stars) in training. The delegation of MPs offered words of encouragement, support, and praise to the Stars ahead of the weekend kick-off of CHAN.
“We have come here first as Members of Bunge football club, and second as MPs
to encourage the stars and their technical team.” said Hon. (Dr.) Amolo.
Emphasizing the need to ensure that the team is sufficiently prepared to undertake the assignment ahead, the Bunge FC captain assured of their full support in sealing any loopholes that may negatively affect the team’s performance.
“ If there is anything pending we will push as Mps to make sure our Country delivers both as host and team.” He assured.
“We also intend to attend all their games in Kenya and beyond in solidarity.”
Handing over a kshs. 1 million from the Bunge FC members, the MPs reassured the team of their unwavering support and commitment to upliff the Stars in this important endeavour.
“We are here to encourage you and to ensure that everything is in place as you prepare for this important task.” Stated Hon. Wanami Wamboka MP, (Bumula.)
Other Bunge FC team members present also offered words of encouragement to the Harambee stars.
“Football is a game, so go there to play well, chase your dreams and ensure that you give your best while at it.” Encouraged Migori Senator Eddie Okech.
Hon. Bishop Moses Kirima (Central Imenti) who offered anword of prayer to the team, also told the Stars; “many international scouts will be in attendance, so put your best foot forward as they will be observing your games.”
Encouraging fans to show solidarity with the team, Hon. Julius Mawathe (Embakasi South) lauded the Stars for making it thia far, attributing their success to tbeir resilience and determination to fly the National flag.
Speaking during the visit, Football Kenya Federation CEO Harold Ndege expressed gratitude to the MPs for their thoughtful gesture, and assured the Members of Parliament that the team is in great shape to play, and encouraged fans to turn up in large numbers and cheer on the team.
The Team Captain Aboud Omar who spoke on behalf of the players appreciated the Legislators’ visit, describing it as a major boost to their morale.
“We are all ready for Sunday, and we shall do our best to represent Kenya in the entire tournament.” Said Captain Aboud.“We are calling on our fans to come and support us in large numbers.”
The team will be dorning the red team jerseys, and Kenyans are encouraged to buy the same in support of the Stars.
