The Senate Standing Committee on Energy, led by its Chairperson, Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator William Kisang, condoled with Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale at his Malinya home following the death of his wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale.

While offering words of encouragement to Senator Khalwale, who is a member of the Committee, Senator Kisang urged him to thank God for the years he shared with his departed wife and the blessings He bestowed upon them.

“As the Committee, we extend our deepest condolences to you and your family. Just thank God for the years he gave you with her and blessings he bestowed upon you. There is nothing you can do about it now,” he said.

Nominated Senator Beatrice Ogolla, who is also the Vice Chairperson of the Committee, said the sudden demise of Gloria had shocked the nation, urging Khalwale to accept God’s will while noting that the Committee was fully behind the Kakamega Senator.

Turkana Senator James Lomenen encouraged his colleague to always ask God to shower him with His abundant grace, even as he conveyed the condolences of the people of Turkana.
