Senate Set to Meet KEPSA with Sights on Big Four Agenda

Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi today laid a wreath at the Mausoleum of the founding President the late mzee Jomo Kenyatta at the precincts of Parliament. He was received by House leaders led by Speakers Justin Muturi (National Assembly) and Kenneth Lusaka (Senate). Also present was Majority Leader Aden Duale, Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko among others.
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Justin Muturi this morning hosted a delegation from the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC) (The equivalent of a House of Parliament) led by the Vice -Chairman, NPC Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr. Chen Guomin.
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Justin Muturi has underscored the need for popular participation of the citizenry in making political decisions, noting that major democratic gains in the country have been achieved through political participation.
The National Assembly which has been on a one week recess resumed sittings this week on Tuesday November 6, 2018. The House according to the Calender is scheduled undertake legislative business until December 6th, 2018 when it is expected members will break for the long recess that will take the House upto February 11, 2019.
