Emuhaya MP, Hon. Omboko Milemba has called on the National Treasury to explain why there are delays on remittances for medical capitation funds since September 2024, despite regular deductions from teachers' salaries. 

Senator James Kamau Murango (Kirinyaga) has called for urgent action over mounting pending bills owed to contractors and suppliers by the County Government of Kirinyaga, warning that the delays are crippling businesses and threatening livelihoods.

In a Statement request directed to the Senate Committee on Finance and Budget, Sen Murango is seeking a comprehensive breakdown of all outstanding payments, including the total amounts unpaid as of the close of the 2023/24 financial year and the duration over which these debts have accumulated.

Isiolo County MP, Hon. Mumina Bonaya, has raised concerns over the transparency and accountability in the management of the Sports, Arts, and Social Development Fund (SASDF), calling for a forensic audit of the fund’s expenditures.

The Bill proposes the creation of the Gold Processing Corporation. The Bill also seeks to establish a legal and institutional framework for collecting, purifying, smelting, fabricating, homogenizing, sampling, registering, monitoring and transporting of gold or products of gold.

The Institute of Social Work Professionals Bill, (National Assembly Bill No. 17 of 2023) seeks to establish the Institute of Social Work Professionals, which will regulate the training, registration, and licensing of social workers. It also outlines provisions on discipline, financial matters, and penalties for violations
