House in uproar over skewed Performance Ranking

Members of the National Assembly have accused the research firm, Infotrak for skewed ranking in their latest post on the performance of Members of Parliament released on September 27.

In the polls findings released by the firm's Chief Executive Officer, Angela Ambitho, Emuhaya Constituency Member of Parliament, Hon. Omboko Milemba who scored 75.4 per cent was ranked as the best performing legislator, with his Emurua Dikirr counterpart, Hon. Johana Ngeno (71.4 per cent) and Mwala MP, Vincent Musyoka (70.8 percent) ranked second and third respectively.

At a Special Meeting held today, Tuesday, 22nd September 2020, the Parliamentary Service Commission, pursuant to its mandate under Article 127 of the Constitution and after consultation with the Speakers of the two Houses of Parliament deliberated on the reports in the public domain that the Rt. Hon. Chief Justice has advised His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya to dissolve Parliament for alleged failure to enact legislation to give effect to the two-third gender rule.

The Departmental Committee on Health in the National Assembly on Thursday met with the Boards of Management of the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA),the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), and the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) in a bid to gather facts on the receipt and expenditure of the funds allocated to the Institutions, towards the fight against the Covid-19 Pandemic.
