The 17th Meeting of the Bureau of East African Community (EAC) Speakers convened in Nairobi on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

The gathering brought together regional Speakers, united in their pursuit of integration, cooperation and shared prosperity.

𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬, 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗖𝗛 𝗧𝗢 𝗢𝗖𝗖𝗨𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗔𝗭𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗦

Clerk of the Senate and Secretary to the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC), Mr. Jeremiah Nyegenye has challenged staff to be proactive in handling occupational hazards and risks to help minimize accidents, injuries, and other health related issues.

Mr. Nyegenye who was speaking during a special talk organized by the PSC Occupational Health and Safety Services (OSH) Committee said the a proactive approach would help staff think through, to imagine and to prepare appropriately to prevent such hazards from occuring.

The Departmental Committee on Tourism and Wildlife is concerned about delayed payment of money owed to the 14 contractors who renovated the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) last year, ahead of the international Climate Change Summit that brought together Heads of State and other delegates.

Clerks of the National Assemblies/Parliaments of the East Africa Community (EAC) held a an 18th meeting on Monday, May 27, 2024 to prepare working documents and agenda for the 17th meeting of Bureau of EAC Speakers’ scheduled for Wednesday May 29, 2024, in Nairobi.
