The Clerk of The National Assembly

In 2004, he was appointed Clerk of the East African Legislative Assembly where he served for five years. In 2009, after five years of duty, he resumed duties at the National Assembly and served as Chair of several Committees; Committee on Implementation of the Constitution, Tender Committee, Projects Management Committee and Vice-chair of the Steering Committee of the Centre for Parliamentary Studies and Training. He has attended several courses and attachments in Legislative Management and Administration.

In October, 2012 he was appointed Clerk, of the National Assembly.

Honourable Muturi has served Kenyans in the Judiciary for than 15 years, where he rose up the ranks to retire as a Principal Magistrate in 1997. During his tenure in the Judiciary, he was elected the Chairman, Kenya Judges and Magistrates Association.

The National Assembly Prioritizes Key Business Ahead Of Elections

In view of the short time remaining before the next General Elections, the House Business Committee of the National Assembly has prioritised to conclude the following -

1. Approval of the Budget Estimates for the Financial Year 2017/2018 and the Medium Term.
2. The Division of Revenue Bill, 2017 and the CountyAllocation of Revenue Bill, 2017.
3. Consideration all Election-Related Regulations, including-
(i) The proposed Elections (Technology) Regulations, 2017;
(ii) The proposed Elections (Voter Registration) (Amendment) Regulations, 2017;
