Speaker Muturi Hosts His Tanzanian Counterpart

The Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Justin Muturi, earlier today hosted the Speaker of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon.Job Ndogai and Members of the Parliamentary Service Commission of the Parliament of Tanzania, in his Parliament Building Office.. The visiting Speaker and the Commission Members Hons. Rev. Peter Mbigwa, Salim Turky, and Mary Chatanda , are in the country on a study tour on the operations of the Parliament of Kenya, the mandate of Kenya's Parliamentary Service Commission in regards to the welfare of MPs and staff of Parliament, the structure of Parliament and on the symbiotic relationship between the Parliament of Kenya and the other arms of Government. Speaker Ndogai expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome they had received from their host, noting that this was his maiden visit ton Kenya since his election to the position of Speaker. The Delegation further appreciated the architecture and structure of the Parliamentary Service Commission and its operations. Speaker Ndogai and his entourage will also be special guests of the Parliament of Kenya during the annual National Prayer Breakfast to be held on Thursday 25th May, at the Safari Park Hotel.
