Further, Tree-filled parks and forests encourage outdoor activities like walking, jogging, or cycling, contributing to better physical health and fitness.”, noted Wellness Committee Statement.

The statement elaborated that mitigating measure on the looming climate change are critical to ensure a healthier, greener future.

Karura Forest is one of the few remaining green spaces in our growing city, providing a refuge for people and wildlife.

The Government led by H.E President Ruto initiated planting of 15 billion trees by 2032, a move aimed at: reducing greenhouse emissions, stopping and reversing deforestation and, restoring 5.1 million hectares of deforested and degraded landscapes through the African Landscape Restoration Initiative which was launched on 22ndΒ December 2022.
