𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰

The National Assembly hosted a delegation of Senior Congressional Staff Members (STAFFDEL) who visited to gain insight into the US-Kenya trade relations, and the Kenyan Parliamentary Rules and Procedures, amongst other issues.

The delegation engaged in discussions with key parliamentary figures, unraveling the legislative procedure and standing orders that govern the nation's decision-making processes.

Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr. Samuel Njoroge, took the delegation through the legislative process. 

Further, the two Committee directors; Director of Departmental Committees, Mr. Peter Chemweno and Director of Audit, Appropriations and General Purpose Committee, Ms. Florence Abonyo made presentations on the role of Committees. 

The Structure and Function of the Parliamentary Budget Office was another of discussion during the engagement.  The delegation recognized the pivotal role this office plays in providing unbiased analysis and advice on budgetary matters, contributing significantly to informed decision-making.
