The Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Justin Muturi and his counterpart in Belgrade, H.E. Mrs. Maja Gojkovic have agreed to intensify ties between their respective legislatures, in a move that will see the commencement of collaboration linking their respective Parliamentary Committees, and exchange of ideas between the Parliamentary staff from the two Assemblies.

The 2nd annual engagement between the National Assembly and the Kenya Private Alliance Sector (KEPSA) kicked off today morning, amid calls on the private sector to consolidate efforts towards the war against graft, and to focus on re-engineering their business models to enhance job creation, even as they uphold adherence to the Employment Act.

Kenya's bid to secure a seat at the UN Security Council as non permanent member in 2021-2022 received a major boost, Tuesday as Senate Speaker, Rt Hon Kenneth Lusaka explained to over 70 Speakers of Parliaments and 700 MPs why the East African country's potential contribution to the critical could not be gainsaid.

The President of the Bureau of Women Parliamentarians, Sen Susan Kihika has challenged MPs to embrace legal reforms in the advancement of gender equality. 

Addressing over 700 MPs drawn from 150 countries at the opening of the General Debate of the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU) in Belgrade, Serbia, the Senate Majority Whip urged them to carry out civic education in their constituencies, on the benefits of gender equality.
