The National Assembly approved the Agricultural and Livestock Extension Services Bill (Senate Bill No. 12 of 2022) on June 10, 2026, paving the way for a more coordinated, technology-driven and farmer-centred agricultural extension system aimed at improving productivity, increasing incomes and strengthening food security across the country.

The Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning yesterday tabled its highly anticipated report on the Finance Bill, 2026, recommending that the National Assembly approves its recommendations with several critical amendments.

The National Assembly Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs (JLAC) has held a consultative meeting with officials from the Office of the Registrar of Polical Parties; led by the Registrar Mr. John Lorionokou.
The meeting is in furtherance of ongoing consultative efforts by the Committee to ensure adequate preparation by key stakeholders ahead of next year's General Election.
