The Hon. Silvanus Osoro Onyiego, CBS, MP, was elected as the Majority Party Whip in the 13th Parliament On 6^th October 2022. He is the Member Of Parliament for South Mugirango Constituency serving his second consecutive term.

A Certified Public Accountant and advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Hon. Osoro holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Mount Kenya University, a Post Graduate Diploma In Law from the Kenya Law School and is currently pursuing a Masters of Law Degree at the University Of Nairobi. 

The National Assembly Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations Committee has this morning reviewed the Ministry of Defence's 2021/2022  Annual Performance Report.

The Committee Chaired by Hon. Nelson Koech (Belgut) undertook this assignment in line with Article 153 (4) (b) of the Constitution and Section 10 (h) of the Kenya Defence Forces Act no. 25 of 2012.
