Speaker of the Senate Rt Hon Amason Jeffah Kingi, and his colleagues, Rt Hon (Dr) Moses Wetangβula, Speaker of the National Assembly; and Rt Hon Joseph Ntakirutimana, Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), today welcomed President William Samoei Ruto at Parliament Buildings for the Presidentβs address at the official opening of the EALA plenary sittings in Nairobi.

In his remarks, the President outlined the vision of the EAC Heads of State Summit in deepening integration and widening collaboration among the Member states for purposes of fostering development in the region.

He challenged EALA to play its role in the ongoing efforts to make East Africa competitive in order to heighten its position as an investment destination for the sake of the prosperity of its over 300 million citizens.
