The National Assembly's Committee on Communication, Information and Innovation held a consultative meeting with their Counterparts from the German Bundestag (Parliament).

At the meeting chaired by Hon. Erastus Nzioka (Mbooni), the Members  of the Committee held discussions on sustainable Information Technology and digital participation in legislative processes, even as they shared knowledge , experiences and best practices in pursuing a more dynamic digital future. 

Hon. Kivasu said Kenya recognizes that sustainable development is intrinsically linked to harnessing the potential of ICT, and reaffirmed the country's commitment, through the formulation of relevant laws and policies that will help further promote the already existing strong diplomatic ties with Germany.

According to the leader of the German delegation Hon. Tabea RöBner this can be done by focusing on the vital areas of collaboration on digital affairs.
