i. The Speaker put a question on the Motion by the Departmental Committee on Environment, Forestry and Mining on the consideration of the report on ratification of the Bamako Convention on the ban of the importation into Africa and the control of transboundary movement and management of hazardous waste within Africa. Members voted on the affirmative to this motion.
ii. The Speaker also put a question on the adoption of the Report by the Departmental Committee on Environment, Forestry and Mining on the consideration of the Report on the ratification of the Minamata Convention on Mercury, laid on the Table of the House on the 21st of June 2023.ย
Members voted on the affirmative with the ayes having it.

The Leader of the Majority Party Hon. Kimani Ichungโwah notified the House that the Cabinet Secretary for Labour would not be able to appear to respond to Members Questions as had been scheduled, and has requested for a rescheduling of the same.
