Nyamira County Senator Okongo Mogeni, is seeking a Statement from the Standing Committee on Roads and Transportation regarding the state of roads in Nyamira County.

In his Statement, Nyamira Senator wants the Committee to disclose the roads that have been approved for funding by the County Government of Nyamira during the 2019/2020 to 2021/2022 Financial Years, detailing the respective constituencies in which the said roads are located; Committee to table a report on which of these roads have been completed as wells as those currently under construction.

Senator Mogeni also wants the Committee to disclose the funding allocated by the Kenya Rural Road Authority (KeRRA) TO Nyamira County covering Financial years 2019/2020 to 2021/2022 and provide a breakdown of the budgetary allocations by the National Treasury per constituency; and outline the plans the County Government and KeRRA have put in place to ensure that roads in the County are motorable.
