The Speaker of the National Assembly, the Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Moses  Wetang’ula, with his Senate counterpart the Rt. Hon. (Sen.) Amason Kingi yesterday witnessed His Excellency  President Dr. William Ruto assent to the Finance Bill (2023) and the Appropriations Bill (2023). The President also approved the Supplementary Appropriations (No.2) Bill, 2023.

The Finance Bill aims to raise part of the Kshs. 3.6 trillion budget. The Bill was brought before the House  by Hon. Kimani Kuria (Molo), the Chairperson of the Finance and Planning Committee. Hon. Kuria received accolades on the Floor of the House after the passage of the Bill from the Rt. Hon. Speaker for doing a commendable job.

In attendance included; the Deputy President, H.E Rigathi Gachagua, the Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, Treasury Cabinet Secretary Prof. Njuguna Ndung'u, the Attorney General, Hon.
