EDUCATION AND ENERGY CSs SET TO RESPOND TO MPs QUESTIONS
Two Cabinet Secretaries set to appear before the National Assembly on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
Hon. Ezekiel Machogu, the Cabinet Secretary for Education is expected to respond to questions regarding the funds channeled towards the construction of Junior Secondary Schools across the country, the introduction of a school feeding program, plans for the smooth transition of learners from Grade 7 to Junior Secondary School, and the plight of Government-sponsored students undertaking their studies in Cuba.
On the other hand, Mr. David Chirchir, the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum is expected to respond to questions about the measures being taken to cushion water utility companies from high electricity prices in drought-stricken counties like Kilifi County, the stalled electricity connectivity to homes and public institutions,
The Cabinet Secretary for Energy will further respond to plans for compensation for losses due to incessant power outages, plans to replace dysfunctional and obsolete Solar PV Systems installed to provide uninterrupted power supply to various public institutions across the country, and connectivity of sufficient and uninterrupted power supply, as well as persistent power outages in the country.
