The Senate of Kenya was on Thursday united as it eulogised the former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga whose abrupt death while receiving treatment in India shocked the country.

During the debate, the lawmakers variously described the late Odinga, who served as MP for Langata Constituency for four terms, as a great leader, patriot and a man who sacrificed personal comfort for the greater good of the country.
