The National Assembly Wednesday morning Sitting has been adjourned following the demise of ODM leader and Opposition Chief, Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga.

Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, invoked his authority under Standing Order Number One to halt House proceedings, directing Members of Parliament to reconvene later in the day for official communication on the matter.

The Senate ICT Committee has vowed to push the Social Health Authority (SHA) to release funds owed to counties following revelations of delayed remittances that have affected healthcare services across the country.

 

“Our first reaction as a committee, after compiling the report, will be to really push SHA until they start paying counties,” stated Chairperson Allan Chesang.
