The Senate Standing Committee on Health invites members of the public to submit written memoranda on the Autism Management Bill, 2025 (Senate Bills No. 19 of 2025).

 

The Bill seeks to strengthen early screening, diagnosis, management, and support for persons with autism through an integrated national framework.

Nyamira County Governor Amos Nyaribo has denied all charges brought against him by the Nyamira County Assembly.

 

Appearing before the Senate plenary on the first day of hearings into his proposed removal from office through impeachment, Governor Nyaribo denied all accusations as read to him by the Senate Deputy Clerk, Mr Mohamed Ali.

The Senate Committee on Labour and Social Welfare, chaired by Sen Julius Murgor (West Pokot), today intensified scrutiny of government lapses in making public buildings accessible to Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), warning that long-standing inaction has left constitutional rights suspended in limbo.
