The Justice and Legal Affairs Committee chaired by Hon. George  Murugara (Tharaka) met to consider and adopt different Amendment proposals that have been proposed by different Members of the National Assembly.

Hon. Jane Maina (Kirinyaga) has moved a Motion on the introduction of comprehensive health, wellness and sex education in the curriculum as a core subject in schools by the National Government through the State Department of Basic Education.

The National Assembly has approved the Value Added Tax (Electronic Internet and Digital Market Supply Regulations) 2023.

This approval effectively amends the existing Value Added Tax (VAT) Regulations initially published in 2020, with new requirements for the taxation of electronic, internet and electronic marketplace supplies.
