The Chinese Ambassador courtesy call to the Speaker of the Senate

The Speaker of Senate, Sen Kenneth Lusaka today held a meeting with China’s Ambassador to Kenya, H. E. Dr. Liu Xianfa.

The Chinese Ambassador had paid a courtesy call to the Speaker at Parliament Buildings and expressed his country’s desire to continue working with the Senate. The Speaker noted that Kenya and China enjoyed a cordial relationship citing the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

The Joint Select Committee on Election-Related Laws Public Hearings

The Joint Select Committee on Election-Related Laws has commenced Public Hearings in regards to the two Bills that are currently before the two Houses.

The committee co-chaired by Baringo North MP, Hon. William Cheptumo and Isiolo Senator, Sen. Fatuma Dullo has been conducting hearings in accordance with Article 118, that provides for public participation in the Legislative Process.
