The National Assembly has approved nominees for appointment to 100 Constituency Committees of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF).

The Controller of Budget, FCPA Dr. Margaret Nyakang’o has recommended that the National Treasury should adopt prudent strategies focused on debt management and revenue collection reforms to prevent more profound financial instability.

Legislators have rallied behind the National Police Service Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2024, which seeks to improve the mental wellness of police officers through the establishment of psychosocial support centers.

Members of the National Assembly are debating the Equalisation Fund (Administration) Bill (Senate Bill No. 14 of 2023), which seeks to repeal the Public Finance Management (Equalisation Fund Administration) Regulations, 2021. The Bill aims to provide an administrative framework for the management of the Equalisation Fund, as established under Article 204 of the Constitution. 

Emuhaya MP, Hon. Omboko Milemba has called on the National Treasury to explain why there are delays on remittances for medical capitation funds since September 2024, despite regular deductions from teachers' salaries.
