The Chief Justice Hon. Martha Koome presided over the swearing-in ceremony of Members to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) selection panel, on Monday 27 January, 2025.

This comes after a decision made by the High Court on Friday 24 January, 2025, which lifted the earlier stay orders barring their appointment.

National Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Moses Wetang’ula has advocated for the establishment of a Kenya-Namibia Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) to enhance diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Members of the National Assembly led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Moses Wetang'ula, are set to convene next week for the National Assembly Members' Retreat, which will be held from Monday, January 27, 2025 to Friday, January 31, 2025 in Naivasha, Nakuru County.

The retreat themed "𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘉𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴: 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘵", will see lawmakers deliberate on the legislative agenda for the fourth session of the thirteenth Parliament that is set to begin in February 2025.
